2008 Favorites: Families and children

As the end of the year approaches, I thought it would be fun to look back at some of my favorites from 2008.  All week I’ll be posting various categories and kicking off the hit list is ‘Families and Children: 2008’.

Mathey Family

Nicole snagged me just in time for a last minute family session before Christmas. Like most little ones, Koen wasn’t too interested in having to sit still for pictures but in the end I think we still got some great smiles.

Does anyone else see the humor in the next photo? ‘JOY’ is not what this little guy was feeling no matter how many funny faces daddy tried.

Happy Birthday Grant & Ben

My adorable nephews, Grant and Ben, turned 2 on Friday.  I can’t believe how fast they have grown… and how much trouble they can get themselves into.  Happy Birthday boys!!!

Joe & Darcy’s Wedding

Joe and Darcy’s December wedding was filled with twinkling lights, beautiful colors and amazing flowers. Darcy’s sister, Tricia Terpstra (owner of THE PETAL PUSHERS in Lynden) always does a great job with the flowers and held nothing back for this wedding.  I also fell in love with Darcy and the bridesmaid’s dresses…. simply stunning! Here are some of my favorite pictures throughout the day:

Let it snow let it snow let it snow

I hope everyone is staying safe and warm while we enjoy this crazy weather! Here is a glimpse of what I am enjoying at my house.

Abby absolutely loooooves the snow – I am suprised she sat still long enough for me to snap this photo of her with a santa beard. ho ho ho!

While I was at my neighbors today I asked if she would like to take some photos with her daughter in the snow. I don’t know why I would have ever expected these two to take ‘normal’ mother daughter photos  🙂

The cutest cowboys you’ve ever seen

I’m officially snowed in at my house and not going anywhere… snow pictures coming soon 🙂

Now that I’ve had additional time at home I can catch up on some blog posts. First up is my little buddy Carter who lives in Oregon and has got to be the cutest cowboy ever!

adrianblog-15

At Carter’s request we added in Curious George for a ‘best friends’ picture

I think the next photo needs to go into a contest for who can come up with the best caption

Carter’s mom LaDawn and I met 10 years ago while I was visiting my Dad in Oregon. She is one of my closest friends and it has been so much fun to watch her family grow.

Trey is the newest addition to the family. Don’t you love the drool bubbles  🙂

Next up is Carter with his cousin Ransom. Again… what a cute cowboy!

Since the boys are real cowboys they had to show me some of their roping skills

Can’t forget Ransom’s parents (and baby brother on the way).

Thanks for letting me take pictures of your wonderful families. I miss you already and can’t wait to see you again!
