Joe & Elana: Wedding on the water

What other job gives you the opportunity to hang out with fun people, party it up in a limo ride and take a cruise on the bay while enjoying spectacular views. I love my job! Joe and Elana’s wedding yesterday took place on a cruise boat that departed out of Grandville Island and toured some of Vancouver’s incredible views. Before we headed North we started at Joe’s farm to snap some of these images…

A few giggles while the ladies worked it out…

I photographed Steve and Oralie’s wedding earlier this year and couldn’t pass up another shot of this gorgeous couple. Thanks to Oralie, I was introduced to Elana and was given the privelage of shooting her wedding as well.

After a limo ride up to Granville Island we took a walk to enjoy some of the markets as well as the waterfront.

And the main event…. Joe and Elana’s wedding took place on top of the ship while docked in the harbor. Could they have asked for a more beautiful fall day?

After the ceremony everyone enjoyed an afternoon cruise with incredible views of Vancouver.

Don’t forget to visit in about a month to view Joe and Elana’s full gallery.

Rain on your wedding day brings good luck…. right?

Rain was not going to hold Amber back from having some fun on her wedding day. When I asked if we could grab some umbrellas an still do all of her pre-ceremony photos outside she was the first to jump out in the rain!  Even though I turned into a drowned rat it was so worth it. When looking at this first photo I can’t help but sing the song ‘Something sexy about the rain’ by Kenny Chesney.

I love Amber’s BIG smile!

The greatest thing about the next shot is that the guys are the ones who requested it. I just love these guys!

They were nothing but smiles during the entire reception…

Mike & Amber’s full gallery will be available on by Oct. 20th

Austin is 2!

I love it when my bride’s allow me to follow the progression of their families. Several years ago I had the opportunity to photograph Lori and Dave’s wedding and have since followed them at family gatherings as well as the growing years of their son Austin.  This little guy kept as running as we chased him around my back yard and up and down the rocks. It is so fun capturing the different faces of a child and photographing them in a natural setting.

Who needs a fishin’ pole when you have a stick?

Family session at Hovander

Instead of me having to work some tricks to get some smiles, this family switched it around and had me laughing the entire session. Although we got rained out of the first attempt for some photos I’m glad we got to spend additional time together to capture even more smiles.

Grandma and Grandpa joined us for a few and brought their beautiful car which was incorporated into some great shots.

This is the new ‘baby’ of the family… Rick is a proud papa!

Baby Announcement

Kate wanted to send out baby announcements using our recent photoshoot of Riley so we put together these adorable cards. I love playing with card design so let me know if you’re in need of announcements for baby, graduation, wedding, birthday party…etc

Kara + Brandon

Kara and Brandon’s wedding was held at the beautiful Evergreen Gardens. It threatened to rain in the morning but turned out to be a gorgeous day. The nice thing about Evergreen Gardens is that there are plenty of trees that provide refreshing shade on a hot August day.

Does something feel a little different Brandon?

This garter catch makes me laugh!

Full wedding gallery will be available to view on by September 23rd
