Back to reality
After a 2 week adventure trip with my husband I am home and back to reality. Most of our time was spent in Lewiston Idaho where David had a blast fishing on the Clearwater with some friends.
Here I am (looking good I know) with a Steelehead that our friend Norm hooked but let me reel in. After reeling in 4 of these bad boys I had some sore arms the next day!
The shot below was taken by our friend Jen… nice work!
This time of year is so fun to fish the Clearwater river because the hillsides are covered in fall colors
Back at camp we were also surrounded by fall trees
One of the wives at camp always has fall decorations and pumpkins to keep her home away from home festive. She even gets a large tumble weed (with assistance from the park ranger) and decorates it with orange lights and ghosts… too cute. The pumpkin I carved has a 3 point Buck on it just like the one that David got earlier in the week. Apparently he didn’t think it resembled his buck since he asked “who carved the cat with horns”. Ooooh funny funny man!
As promised, here is a fall photo of me and my husband… all together now…. awwwwww
HAPPY FALL!

Delgado Family
It amazes me when timing works out just perfect. Misty scheduled her family session a while back and we crossed our fingers hoping that the chosen day would have fall colors and decent weather. Well… wouldn’t you know that the yellow trees that line Barkley Blvd happened to be in their prime that day and the rain held off until the last picture was taken. Whoo hoo!
I am tempted to frame this next set in my office… it just makes me smile!

Engagement session with a view
Of course I was already excited to shoot Mark and Alissa’s January wedding but after spending time with them for the engagement session I am absolutely stoked for their big day! They are such a sweet couple and were easy to photograph because of their genuine adoration of one another. We started out the afternoon by taking a hike to the top of Galbreth which overlooks Bellingham… simply amazing! This is where Mark proposed.
Next stop was the ball fields which is where the couple met.
Are you kidding me…. HOT!

Eisses Family
Effie and her adorable family invited me to their home on Bellingham Bay which they are renting while they renovate their own home. I could have stayed for hours just taking in the breathtaking view that they had of the islands and passing ferries. Effie’s brother also joined us with his family… isn’t their new baby girl just precious!

Billy & Shara’s Wedding
Shara dreamed of having a fairytale wedding and boy oh boy did she get it! I still can’t get over how gorgeous all of the flowers and decorations were… seriously amazing. Even the weather was beautiful while we did outdoor photos (the rain let loose just as we finished up). A shout out to the talented florists who added fantastic color and design to the day… Kim Zylstra did all of the arrangements in the church as well as bouquets and boutonnieres. Sharon VanBeek took care of the incredible creations at the reception.
I am so happy that the rain held out until after we had a chance incorporate some great fall colors into their photos…
Shara requested that the amazing Julie Harrell be the second shooter for the day and I have her to thank for this next shot. (Don’t worry she was only laying in the middle of the street to get it… way to take one for the team Julie!) I had so much fun shooting with her and hope we get to do it again soon.
Wowzers Shara… you are lookin good!
One nice thing about rain is that it allows for great reflections in the puddles. Another great shot from Julie…
How glorious is this cake! Fine art by Michelle DeVries.
